RickySounds pickguards are made from cast perspex just like the Rickenbacker factory products. They are available in four finishes, white, black, gold and Vintage white. They are laser cut and the edges are hand polished to a mirror finish with rounded edges where appropriate.
We have over 50 templates made from instruments dating from the 1950’s up to today. We have listed some of the more popular models but we can make any model you require, Just ask. For rare or obscure models or if we need to check, we may ask for a picture of your guitar.
Our listings show the model and in some cases the year of the guitar from which our template was made. Check out the drawings on the listings as they are exact copies of our production templates, paying attention to the location of screw holes as there have been many variations on 1970 models and many changed significantly at some point in the mid 1980’s. Please note that most pickguards made between 1960 and 1985 were hand finished in the factory leaving minor inconsistencies in the finished size, shape of the corners and quality of the edges, in rare cases you may have to trim an edge to get a perfect fit especially on bass models where the pickguard butts upto the fretboard end.
Pickguards are made to order and unless we supply incorrectly or there is a defect they are generally non returnable.
