Replacement for all 4000 series basses made between 1965 and 1982. Complete with Nuts washers and thrust plate.

We have re-engineered the old style “Hairpin” style truss rods as used in 3000, 4000  series basses from the sixties upto the early 80’s.

Stronger steel which has been ground to profile instead of using soft rolled mild steel.  The  chisel location and thrust pad have been redesigned to stop the top rod piggybacking the thrust pad under tension and pushing off the fretboard when adjusted incorrectly. (If you are not sure how to adjust, we are happy to help.)

They are finished with a silver coloured electro plated protective coating and together with our improvements have resulted in a very effective and reliable replacement for the originals.
